Having problems with my knee after surgery
« on: May 22, 2005, 07:57:15 PM »
I have recently had an op on my knee to repair a torn cartilage at the back of my knee...the problem is my knee still feels really weak and i have a hole under my skin on the inside of my knee.... i have seen a couple of specialists but they didn't really no what it was.... one suggested it was a swollen bursa...i have looked into it and dont feel any of the symptons described.... my knee is in no pain..no swelling or irritation..it just feels weak....can anyone help me...please.

Hey Leon,

I had a thought maybe your muscles need a workout visit a PT and do some stretching exercises to build up the strength  maybe that will do it.  :P

Good luck in your endeavours.   :)

Hey there

I was going to make the same suggestion.  I have found my knee very unstable after ACL surgery, and it is due to muscle wastage.... asI am slowly regaining muscle it seems to be getting more stable.... I'm still stuck on crutches, but Im starting to get more stability and wil hopefully be off them soon.... maybe you have somehting similar going on....
