Adidas 1
« on: May 04, 2005, 08:39:48 AM »
Hello,

It me again, fully in denial, but I have heard a lot about this new shoe, the Adidas 1 a self adapting shoe, which supposedly adapts instantenously to a runner's cushioning and biomehcanical needs via a microchip.

Has anybody else heard of it, or worn it?
Would it get a young-ish arthritic running again?

Thanks Shade,

I ended up asking my podiatrist and he said to wait until the shoe had been in use for a while and see what the reports are. He also said not to put all my faith in a shoe to solve my knee probs and to see how I go with my orthotic  :(

I just wanna run again!

Nikki,
What kind of orthotic do you wear to reduce your medial knee pain?  I also have medial knee pain and my doctor suggested an orthotic or an unloader brace but I don't know which to try first.

  Hi jmcreynolds,

I just got a Donjoy unloader brace which I've been wearing for about three weeks.  Its been helping with the pain and it certainly makes me feel more secure.  I just feel like Forrest Gump when I'm walking around though.  Good luck.
