Just Diagnosed w/PFS What Now?!
« on: May 03, 2005, 04:43:05 AM »
I have just been diagnosed with PFS and have read some scary things on surgeries.  I am 32 and don't know what is the best option for me?  I am tired of the pain I have been living with but hear that the LR is not always succesful.  If anyone has any advice I would love to hear It! ???

Get an assessment.  Your problem could be a result of either muscle imbalance (relatively easy to fix), biomechanical (unlikely but possible), or chondral damage (serious), as well as the lateral tightness that you feel you have to get 'released'
I reckon go the release as the LAST measure, try the others first.
Have you tried McConnell strapping techniques?

Thanks for the advice. I will defenatly try the McConell Stapping.  My doctor did not mention it, so I will bring it up.
