Well, let's see... I have been seeing an orthopedic surgeon that specializes in Sports Medicine. A recap of my injuries... I have my lateral femoral chondyl is worn away as well as my tibial spine... my degeneration is severe according to my Orthopod. He said that osteochondryl allograft/autograph is not suitable for me. He said he would not do knee replacement on me because I am too active and it would not take successfully. He prescribed Relafen, even though I told him that I am hypersensitive to medication. He assured me I would not have side affects... I took it and did have side effects. He told me he wants to wait for advancements in Carticel even though I told him that I am allergic to every known anti-biotic. (you have to be on an antibiotic regimen for two weeks before and after Carticel) I mentioned MicroFracture but he sluffs it off like that is a joke... I am going to get another opinion. This is BS! I am in pain... my knee goes out on me 2-5 times a month and then I am disabled for 3-5 days afterward. Does anyone else know any viable solutions for my knee?? I just want to be fixed. I just want to play sports again.
