Scar tissue
« on: April 29, 2005, 02:56:27 AM »
Hi

I was told by one of my PT's that one of  the reasons for the lack of ROM is because of scar tissue. I was told that because of my age I will have more scar tissue problems. I am 45. Has any else heard that the younger you get a TKR the more problems you will have with scarr tissue.
Thanks

Hi,

Here is a discussion that might help you out some: http://www.kneeguru.co.uk/kneegeeks/9447478901.html

Also:  You can check out the 'Rehab. Dept.' under 'Soft Tissue Healing Problems'  - you should find lots of posts there about scar tissue/arthrofibrosis.
