It has been a few days since my knee started bothering me and now i have bruises around my kneecap some are yellow and blue and black. when i sit down and ice it, my knee feels a little better but when i stand up it makes this cracking sound and its very painful, and when i walk sometimes i get off balance and almost fall over cuz the pain in my knee. but when i rest it, it feels ok. should this be checked out by a doctor or should i give it more time to rest and just do RICE some more?

Don't know if I missed a post that said how you hurt your knee, but it sounds to me like it is something you should have looked at.
