What kind of surgery did you have? I had meniscus repair and microfracture and my OS told me at my first post-op three days after surgery that I could take it off if I was laying on the couch during the day and not moving around. However at night it absolutely had to be on because who knows what position you could end up in at night. I had to wear mine for almost 7 weeks, so I feel your pain and aggravation. Call your OS and ask if it is alright to take it off when you are just relaxing.
Good luck,
Becky
