Knee damaged from having fibula strut 'done'
« on: March 31, 2005, 12:42:15 AM »
Don't know what to do.  Had half of R fibula removed for cervical procedure 11 yrs ago.
Knee bent in half sideways while doing yard work in '98, couldn't walk even on crutches for 3 days,  Dr I went to said it wasn't broke... seemed to heal a lot on its own, now is very 'loose' and wants to bend again unless I am real careful just walking in the house,
Elastic type brace helped for a while but now makes it hurt in the back of the knee, get a lot of swelling south of  brace also and seems to push out remainder of fibula. (IS correct size)
3 spine surgeries and 21 years of healing and therapy have me terrified of Drs. This probably is not enough info but am hopeful some one could tell me at least where to start.
