I had the SYNVISC version of the Hylagan injections. It took a good 3 weeks after the final injection for my true relief to set in. Once that occurred I was PAINFREE for 7 months.

Good Luck!

For some reason I am much more tender tonight then I had been before with the injections....

I am hoping I feel better tomorrow...I am icing it now...

I am hoping to get relief and not havw to go through this anymore....it sucks....I hate needles...but seriously having him spray my knee then local anethestic and then after that gimme the real injection I felt nothing....I am so happy for that....I wish I did that 1st time cuz I was so in pain the 1st time....

You are lucky he did the injection that way the last time. I had all 3 injections ( both times the series of SYNVISC was done twice 7 months apart) with no numbing sray or local anesthetic as my OS said that he wanted nothing to taint the reaction I have to the injections. Yes they hurt like hell and a few days after were bad but I got 7 months of no pain the 1st time. Unfortunately they didn't help alot the 2nd time.

Just keep icing and moving the knee around and it should subside!

Good Luck!

Thanks..yes he should have numbed you...He said it would have no effect on the shot other than not causing me unecessary pain...

I will let you know how I am doing :) I am sore today and swollen but I am praying this works...I dunno what else to do...

:)

Thanks Sheri

It took me about 3 weeks or so after the 3rd injection to feel that the shots worked and then it still improved from there!! I hope it works for you!!

Good Luck
