Has anyone ever had a patella tendon release? I am a TKR patient that had a spacer exchange in October 2004. I have had problems with the patella tendon since the original replacement over three years ago. My new OS that did the revision said that I have problems with inflamation and ecocentric motion and we are trying therapy for a while. I was told that 10 percent of the people that have this problem needs the patella tendon release. I really don't want another surgery but if that is what it takes to make this poor old knee more normal, I may consider it. I can't find much that describes the surgrey and the recovery. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
