Hi- I fell and injured my knee the end of December. After many teststhe Dr. said my knee did have arthritis but as a result of my fall iI had a Tibia compression fracture at the knee and partial MCL tear and not sure about meniscus. Following 7 weeks of care(brace) Dr. decided to do arthoscopy. Never saw my doctor before surgery or in recovery and he neglected to talk with my spouse so I am not sure what he did during arthoscopy. A friend picked me up from hospital and took me home. A few min's after getting home I was sitting and went to get up (using pressure on my foot/leg that I had the surgery on) and I imediately felt a rip.tear above my knee and to the side---like quad. muscle area. It was very painful! Now 4 days post-op I still have a lot of swelling in knee redness and severe bruising(also a small blister just under the knee cap). And, where i felt the tearing sensation above my knee post-o[ threre is some bruising and swelling and pain. Yes, I have called my doctor and am waiting to hear back but I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this?
