Dear KNEE GURU: Wondering About History of Knee Geeks
« on: February 23, 2005, 01:26:44 AM »
How old is this site?

Who founded it?

Why was it founded (by frustrated patients, docs, pt's?)

I know its based in Britain, but it's been very helpful to those of us across the Atlantic as well.

How do you guys make money? I don't see any advertising.

I may be intersted in donating: let me know where and how.

Thanks,

Nick

Nick,

You can find some info by clicking on the 'website' link just below the search window.  You will see a bit about Dr. Sheila Strover, aka The Kneeguru.

Also, two buttons to the right of that 'website' link is a 'donate' button.  She really does need every bit, as the site operates magnificently on a shoestring.

Hope some of this helps.

Heather

PS I've been on the site since early 2001, and it had already been going on for a couple of years at that point!

Nick the site has adverts down the side and i must say they blend in well unlike other sites! And as heather said there is a donate button at the top.
