Bug in the system
« on: February 19, 2005, 09:37:18 PM »
Hi everyone
I suspect we have a bug in the system. Some posts are disappearing and I am locating them in the recycle bin. Please alert me to any missing posts while we try and locate the bug.

KNEEgugu,

I recall deleting several posts and then re-writing them so that could account for the ones from me.  You can delete mine - no problem.

Might not be a bug - but fingers hitting the wrong keys - I know that has happened to me before also.

Another thing - I have typed a post and just as I am ready to post it - a sentence in red comes up and says that someone else is posting at the same time and the post dissappears.  I have just re-written the post and it works - this has happened to me more that a couple of times....these could be the bugs that you are speaking of....

Shade,

I get that message in red as well--just go down and click 'save' again, and your post will be stored.  It's just an opportunity for you to re-read your post and edit it to take into account the response of someone who was posting at around the same time you are--it doesn't keep you from clicking to save your post, you just have to do one extra 'click' as if to say "yes, I realize someone posted, but put my reply up anyway!"

Heather,

Thanks for that, and here I thought we had gremlins running around chewing up our words.  I'll try and remember that.

Hugs,  ;)

Maybe that's what happened to 'imnotpunk' and 'Ronxski, too?

Heather M...thanks for that...I've gotten in the habit of copying my posts just in case the message of someone else posting at the same time comes up.  I didn't realize we could save it....thanks...Kath

Hi Knee Guru, I don't recall that red message coming up, but sometimes I'm not that observant. The only time I remember a SAVE option is when I notice some mispelling on my post and I go back to correct it later and then it gives me the option to save it. I will try and pay more attention on what goes on . Glad I checked this one out ! Thank you. Ron

Hey !!

I have also noticed that some of us has become younger. Me for instance. Doesn't matter me, but I noticed it can go wrong sometimes when you want to make congratulations on birthdays. I did that to one person at wrong day and with wrong age....hmm I felt so embarassed.   :-[
Just for info.
Thanks for the new site !! It's sooo GREAT !!!
