Meniscus Repaired and ACL Torn
« on: February 17, 2005, 09:13:43 AM »
Hi everyone,

I just want to share my story about my injuried Right Knee. I hurt my right knee Nov, 04 by and I just visited my family doctor and he suggested me to rest and my knee will be ok!

However, it wasn't any improvement for my knee and i found that my knee was locked and cannot straighten my knee! So i visited the specialist and finally, he told me that my Meniscus was torn and my ACL was broken after testing!

Finally, i decided to have the operation for repairing the Meniscus and ACL reconstruction together! Before operation, my DR said that if my ACL was still inflamming, the ACL reconstruction cannot be perform. But he said that my hurt almost 5 weeks, it should be no problem!

I had the operation on 23 Dec, 04. When i waked up after the operation, my Dr said he just repair my Meniscus for 2 hours because i got a very serious damage, he try to repair and not to cut the meniscus. However, ACL reconstruction cannot be perfom becuase it is still inflamming!

Finally, i am very disappointed!

Anway, i am thinking about to have the ACL reconstruction on April or next year!

Do any one can tell me any problems with a ACL broken for the daily life! anyway, i won't do the sport now and i just doing a job in front of the desk!

Thanks!
