Going to a new OS!!!
« on: February 13, 2005, 05:19:55 PM »
Thanks to sjugradgirl I have found a new OS and got an appointment for this wednesday.  Im getting a little nervous about my appointment.  The bad experince I had with my last OS (he basically said I would have pain and instibitlity for the rest of my life) is making me worry that this doc is going to say there is nothing he can do!

I just wanted to ask all of you to keep your fingers crossed for me, and i wanted to thank all of you for your info and advice.  Thanks to this site I feel like I know a lot about whats going on and I feel like I have SOME control of the situation, AND when the doc starts talking in medical terms I might just know what he's talking about!!!

Thanks again, ~Patti

Patti,

Hi, I am another one that is going to a new OS on Wednesday.  I know just how you feel - I have been given the same advise as you three times now, but I am still willing to try and see if this is for real or if in reality there is something that can be done for my legs.  You know it is funny the three that I have seen have not even prescribed braces or any medication or diagnosis  - so you just have to be optimistic and hope for the best.  You just have to keep trying.....

You might be surprised - good luck at the new OS - I'll be thinking of you.

Hugs,  ;)

Shade
