calcium deposited over knee ligaments
« on: February 01, 2005, 03:10:52 PM »
Dear friends,
My mother (60 years old) have incredible pain in one of her knees. From X-Rays she was diagnosticated as having "Ligament ossification", calcium deposited over her knee ligaments. She was told there are three ways to threat this, 1. surgically removing the calcium deposits) 2. Roentgen therapy 3. Laser treatment (I do not understand how second and later might work in melting those calcium deposits). She choosed to have knee surgery and have those deposits removed and that happened 6 months ago. However, the pain did not disapear, on the contrary, and new X-Rays show the deposits are now even worse that before.
I tried to find more on the Internet about her problem and recommended treatments but did not really found much.
This is to kindly ask for your opinions, suggestions, directions to sources of information where i can find  out more about this.

Thank You,
George Done
