hypermobility, hearing and a big hello to everybody
« on: May 13, 2005, 01:34:37 PM »
hi all
skimming your pages after a visit to our local clinical geneticist - was referred by doc to eliminate marfans (29, tall, skinny and joint pains for around ten years now).
all clear on marfans but he suggested some form of benign hypermobility - anyway, scouring your pages and came across someone mentioning its affect on hearing.
have had a problem with my left ear for around five years where it feels like it needs to pop (as in when on an airplane) but won't - anyone know if these could be related?
cheers,
cole

Hello

Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, a connective tissue disorder in the same 'realm' as Marfans can have hearing related problems.  I have found information about a study on hearing and EDS going on that I will link you to, maybe you could contact this person for more information?
