It is going to be my first session with the physio at the new hospital I am attending on Monday 31 January 2005 at 2.00pm.

This hospital, the RNOH is acknowledged as a leading centre of excellence offering a unique range of neuro-musculoskeletal services ranging from the most acute spinal injury or complex bone tumour to orthopaedic medicine and specialist rehabilitation for back pain suffers.

The hospital continues to play a major role in teaching with one in five orthopaedic surgeons in the UK training at the hospital, and continues the tradition of leading edge and innovative research and development through the Institute of Orthopaedics and Musculoskeletal Science.

Consultants are supported in their work by nurses, therapists and other specialist clinical staff who are trained and are experts in their particular fields of orthopaedic care.

I've been told that this is a really good place to go and hope that they will support me with my Fibromyalgia, OA, Femoral Anteversion and Tibial Torsion problems.

Please wish me luck.

Many thanks ... Lizzie x

Thank you Twinee and Rozzie for your support and good luck sentiments  ... unfortunately an hour's drive to the hospital to see the Physio, I walk up to the reception, only to find that they said that they had tried to contact me, without any luck, as the physio that I am seeing is off sick!!

I said that I had been in all morning.  She said that the phone either rang, which is strange as I have an answerphone, or it was engaged.  I know that I had to make a few calls, but I was not on the phone all morning!!!

Nevertheless, I ended up seeing a really nice physio for half an hour, instead of the hour.  It was merely to go over my history - paperwork.  She then told me that she would not be able to follow through with my treatment as she was moving to amputees and bone tumours - it was a shame, cos' I really liked her manner.

I now have an appointment in 2 week's time - another wait!!  I will then be seeing the original physio and will probably have to go all over with my history - paperwork again.  It is sooo much my luck for this to happen.  I was hoping that everything would be going good for me after the past horrific 3 years and the bad luck I have experienced!!

Never mind, I will think positive and get my knees sorted one way or another.

Thanks once again for your great support.  I really do appreciate it.

WIth much love ... Lizzie xxx
