clunking knee
« on: January 15, 2005, 12:11:04 PM »
i work as a support worker helping people with speical needs, (pushing wheelchairs etc). i started to get a burning pain behind my knees my left one got worse so after ten days i went to the docs who said i had tendonitus and to rest my knee. i went back to the docs after a few days as the pain got worse, it was a differant doc and he said i had sprained my knee muscles and signed me on the sick for 2 weeks. after a week my pain has gone but my knee makes agrinding noise which is painful and when out walking it some times feels like my knee comes out of its sockit and it is  painful what is causing this.

is the pain behind your knee cap? or in the back of your knee? It could be patteo-femoral malalignment... that can feel or sound like grinding or clicking. Hope that helps!
