arthroscopy shows no trouble.....?
« on: January 17, 2005, 03:49:15 PM »
Hi all - I'm new here, so sorry if this has been done before.....and sorry if its a bit long......I have had two previous operations for meniscus damage but the pain never goes away (despite partial tears being resolved). I have now had another scan which showed nothing so another arthroscopy which also showed nothing.  My pain is at the lower edge of the knee (to be more precise at the very top of the shin) and is VERY localised sharp pain when (especially) climbing stairs. I do a lot of cycling and running now (no more rugby for me...) which neither worsens or improves the pain.  Has anybody any ideas ? I suggested tendonitis to my doctor who says doesn't think physiotherapist thinks it might be ACL damage at the shin, but thinks this should have shown up on scan ? Anybody got any ideas here - any thoughts would be great !!!  Cheers all
