quick rock-in-knee update
« on: January 05, 2005, 09:28:20 PM »
I met with the knee surgeon this morning. He did an x-ray and MRI of my knee to solve two more mysteries: a torn miniscus, and a fractured tibulla (sp?) in addition to what I presumed was a rock, was in fact, a piece of bone chip broken off from my left knee cap. I have outpatient surgery scheduled Friday morning and chose to have local anesthesia - that is, just to numb my leg. The nurse actually joked that I should just get an epidural instead, so that I could have an easy "delivery" of the premature knee bone-chip, whom I'm going to name June since that was the month of my horrible car accident.

I went to a personal injury lawyer this afternoon as well, to discuss the possibility of suing the attending ER dr. for malpractice. Bone-chip or not, I have his dismissive comments in print regarding my complaints about my left knee laceration on the date of my accident. So we'll see.
