Knee asleep?
« on: November 08, 2004, 06:35:34 PM »
My knee has been acting a little strange lately.  No aches or pains, just feels as though it "went to sleep".  Sometimes feels like it might give out but never does.  Any ideas?

Hey !!

Do you mean that your leg feels weak like you should fall ? If you take with a hand on your knee can you feel that you're touching it or does it feel numb ?
Is it only the knee or weakness in your whole leg ?
Have you had backproblems before ?
X-se me for all questions but they make really a difference in what this can be.
If you answer them I'll try answer you.

Thanks.  It is not numb to the touch and only the knee is affected.  Very minor back problems, only after physical labor and then for a day or two.  53 year old male, just a tad overweight.  Active golfer, walks usually.  Just a real strange feeling.

Hey !!

If you are concerned why not get it checked out by a doc. For how long have you felt it and is it off and on and is it when you have done something special ?

I will probably see a DR.  This just started on a recent visit to Mackinaw Island where you have to walk to get around.  Not an every minute issue, nor anything while sitting.  Even sometimes doesn't happen when I get up and walk around.  Mowed and raked this weekend and no problems, with physical activity.
