hto or partial knee replacement?
« on: November 06, 2004, 05:24:55 PM »
i need advice on my options for knee surgery
i am just 49, had alot of pain and have had a double orthroscopy 3 weeks ago
am advised to have both knees , operated within  a year and as they are slightly bowed, an osteotomy has been recommended
i live on my boat and am very concerned about  the lengtgh of the recovery/
6 weeks flat on my back
i had a spinal fusion 18 year ago and am concerned about the effect this will have on my back
long term will i still have to have  partial knne replacement?
the specialist here in triniodad is excellent but i need to have help regarding my options and espacially the recuoeration, how long i would have to be oof my boat
what care i will need
i am in favour of partial knee replacement as the recovery is shorter
also interested in the unispacer but no long term resilts yet
i am very active, racing dancing walking so need help please!!!
am still not walking weel after the orthroscopy, inner knee worn away
look forward to help, susie sailing vessel wishfulthinking trinidad,
