tomorows my big day. acl reconstruction
« on: October 25, 2004, 01:01:36 AM »
I rang up last week to see how the good old nhs waiting list is going, when they told me that the waiting time has increased to 9 months. Then i got a phonecall thursday to say come in monday.

AHHHHHHHH so scared. i wasnt scared of anaesthetic before but thats prob cuz i thought that with the nhs it would prob never happen.

They said ill be in for 5 days.... thats a bit too long for my liking. Is it normaly this long??

I'll keep ya posted

Hi there~

I have no experience with the ACL reconscrution.  I also dont have any experience with the NHS cuz I'm in the US.  Just wanted to let ya know that i hope everything works out for ya.  I know it really sucks to be young (I'm 17) and having these terrible knee problems. Just keep good thoughts about everything.  Remember, you get the easy job of the surgery, you get to sleep (if you have general) or you are gonna be so drugged up that you wont even care anythings going on!   Anyways, hope that you are soon on the road to recovery! Let me know how youre doing!
Take care,
~Mandy
