How long to stay in PT for ACL?
« on: November 12, 2002, 10:23:19 PM »
How long has everyone stayed in PT for ACL recon's? I went back for my 2 month check yesterday and my OS said there was no reason to stay in PT anymore. She said I could do everything on my own at the gym. Half the stuff I told her my PT was having me do she said I absolutely shouldn't be doing because of my chondromalacia and that was why I've been having so much joint pain. She said my quads were strong so there was no point to PT anymore. Now, on the flip side I know my PT thinks that I'm no where near ready to quit yet. He's going to have a cow tonight when I tell him what the OS said. Have you guys made a complete recovery with limited PT? I think I'll be fine, but it's hard to know when you have two professionals with the exact opposite opinion.
