Knee pain
« on: October 24, 2004, 08:01:56 PM »
I recently injured my knee about 3 to 4 weeks ago. I believe I twisted my knee getting up and down from a removal truck during a house change.

I visited my local doctor who examined the knee and recommended that i take 2/3 weeks rest, no golf but i could walk and swim. In addition he gave me tablets for inflamation and some cream.

3 weeks later and after a 14 km walk the knee is giving me terrible pain, and i am having extreme difficulty in walking.

I entend visiting the doctor again tomorrow.

has anyone had a similar problem or can they offer me any advice.

medical history.

The cartlliage on the lhs of the right knee was remover badly 29 years ago.

Hey !!

Maybe 14 km is too much if you need to rest. I have almost never walked this long even when my knees were better. I think your doc means short walks not these long. Maybe if this continues you should see an orthopeadic surgeon specialized on knees.
