Post Op Day 14 - Success?!
« on: October 13, 2004, 08:53:01 PM »
I had my 2nd post op visit on Monday, got the OK to start driving again, thank goodness. I was getting bored at home all the time!

I lifted my leg off the table about 2" and my doctor was pleased. With my brace on, I've been doing 100 leg lifts daily - sometimes more, and really working my quads.

I'm now walking without crutches, 100%. I can even manuver stairs without them, so I'm pleased!!  ;D

I have to wear the brace until November 1st - but I'm able to sleep without (though I chose not to) and I'm talking showers without assistance and feeling really great about this proceedure!

I realize it's way too early to tell if the surgery was a success, but I've read so many horror stories about lateral release, and for the time being...I'm pleased as punch!

Left knee lateral release
patellar debridement
medial miniscectomy
