Hi Suessee,
I cant sleep on my side with one leg laying on the other unless I have a pillow between my knees.  I have some OA and meniscus problems on the medial side.  I also find a hotwater bottle on my knee at night is quite soothing.

Best of luck with the MRI results,

Heather ;)

Don't you love the obscenity filter?

It won't allow you to type a "t" followed by the letters w-a-t....it's kind of goofy, as it's such an old-fashioned saying.  Plus many Americans don't even use the word in that way and are scratching their heads about why it's blocked!  But the filter doesn't have decision-making ability, it has to block all combinations of certain letters, regardless of the context....My personal favorite is people writing about going out to drink a few "thingytails"--LOL.

However, I run my own web page and there are so many immature people out there who love to post rude comments.  As my webmaster says "The children have been busy with their crayons again!"  It's a shame that people with too much free time on their hands necessitate all these controls.

Hi,

I can't sleep on my side now either.  The pressure from having my knees together hurts.  Actually, my knee hurts too if I lay on my back with it straight.   :P

Anyway, I hope everybody's knees feel better.  I'm going off to have a few thingytails with my husband ;D

My knee is very sore to walk on most of the time.  I use crutches about 90% of the time.  The pain is all on the medial side and has increased alot over the last 3 years.  I believe my main problem is due to the medial meniscus.  Although I only have about 10% left, I feel it flipping over and slightly shifting about many times through the day, causing excrutiating pain but only for a moment.  I have a 3rd opinion next month and I am going to ask if Im a suitable candidate for a meniscus transplant.  From what Ive read, I should be OK, but Im not the expert!. :-[

Good luck,

Heather ;)

I have really bad arthritis so that's why mine hurts.  It hurts almost all the time, regardless of what I'm doing.  It seems to be more of a pain at night, though, since it keeps me from sleeping.
