Hi All~

Well i was just wondering what sports all you either play or have played before....(just thought of that cuz im stuck icing all weekend from a BAD hockey hit right to the knee)

as for me here goes it:

1.) Ice Hockey--8 years
2.) softball-- 11yrs
3.) soccer- 5 yrs
4.)swim team- 1 year  (other than swim lessons)
5.)figure skating-- 4 yrs.
6.)gymnastics- 3 yrs.
7.)basketball--4yrs.
8.)tennis --2 yrs.

Plus:  golf, and run sometimes just for the sake of doing something!

and i think thats about it....i only play hockey now, with an occasional softball game here and there.

cant wait to hear from others!

~Mandy :)

The only sport that I ever did was skiing. My parents started me when I was 3(on teeny tiny little skis!)but I had to stop about 6 years ago when I was 19 because of my knees. I absolutely loved it and it was the only sport that I was really any good at. I think it's one of the things that I miss most due to my knee.
Left knee:
LR-5/99 & 9/01
Distal realignment and LR 7/02
TTT revision 6/03
screw removal/MUA 10/03
d/x with severe patella baja
7/05 patellar tendon replacement w/piece of quad tendon
4/07 OATS

2) Tennis
3) Rock Climbing
4) Mountain Biking
5) Golf

I don't officially play any sports anymore but I'm always up for swimming, softball, basketball, and ultimate frisbee!

I did play:

soccer (from age 4-8)
softball (from age 6-16 for two years, I was on a slow pitch league and a fast pitch league at the same time)
basketball (from age 10-12)

Occasional golf

That's about it.

Great subject!

Tennis - started when I was 6, now I just have to watch in on TV, everything in this house stops for Wimbledon!

Rowing - since I was 8 though in more recent years I've been coxing more and rowing less.

Badminton

That's about it really, bit rubbish really...

Pre-accident/pre-surgery/pre-arthrofibrosis sports:

Snow Skiing - all my life
slalom water skier - for as long as I can remember
hiker - especially mountains and trails in Alaska
swimming, snorkeling
golf

Post accident, surgery, etc.

Mostly watch it on TV or go to the local university events.  I haven't given up hope yet, especially of returning to the slopes.

Best to all.
