Title: Moderators - what they do
Post by: The KNEEguru on October 28, 2002, 05:54:49 PM
Hi everyone
I have been on a tour for two weeks of the New York/ Washington area and have not been keeping up with the posts.  Over the next few weeks I will be introducing some new moderators to help me keep on top of things.  For this board 'mod' will now be moderating and will be alerting me to problems and moving posts to more relevant sections where necessary.
I hope to get stuck into answering your queries this week.

I accidently posted something in the Don't Post area, however I did this because I didn't had the option to start a new topic in the area that I wanted to and couldn't find anywhere else to post it.  Can you maybe give me a little more direction on how to post in a specific area so I don't make this mistake again?

Thanks,
JaynesJim

PS - Post was "New Medial Miniscus tear"  11/21/02

I have gotten so much spam e-mail since signing up!  Was rather disappointed that my e-mail addy was "released".  As if having knee problems isn't enough!

Good Day, kneeguru and moderators,

As always, this is a wonderful site, and even though there may be some bugs in things now and then, it is still wonderful.

Anything I can do to help out, just let me know.

Sheila, was surprised to see you were in the U.S.  Did you see Dr. Grelsamer?  How was your trip?

Take Care
Tiffany

Your email address is not released. What spam are you receiving?

Hey there,

I cant seem to find a way to post or eamail a moderator directly.  Can we have a place for all Posterolateral Corner Injury discussion.  This is a rare area, but the people who have it really could use a community.  The problem I am having is that I am not sure how to subscribe to all posts with the key phrase posterolateral corner.  I have had the reconstuction and learned much that I would love to share but dont have time to log in to see whats new.  I would rather be able to subscribe to a forum that all the PLC discussion is in then they would all come to my desk.

Thanks for providing this resource.

Hi
OK I have added that board. There are already a lot of boards, but I know highly specialist stuff can get lost and this is an important topic.

To call me any time, jut hit my username and send me a personal message. Or click the username of a mod and send them a personal message.

Thanks!   I still cant figure out how to send you a private message.  I clicked on your user name not sure what I am not seeing.

Anyway I really appreciate it!  Is there any chance you could move a couple of current topics on posterolateral corner injuries to that area and possibly send all the posters from those topics an email that you have set up this board?

I think the most current topics are "Success Rates on Posterolateral corner injuries"  "Posterolateral Complex Questions"  and I hope to start lively conversation in there that will help new visitors have a one stop shop for answers.    Thanks again for being here.   I love this board!!!

Please sir, where do I find the forum rules: like how many posts before urls, images etc. and what you will let us do in the manner of avatars and signatures? Can't seem to find anything anywhere.

Hi

I am trying to post a question  and can not figure out how to start a subect on the website.

I am on having a Synvectomy surgery and want to know how long it takes before I can walk without crutches. I am having my surger on April 22 in San Francisco. I also want to know if anyone had this surgery that is current not from 2004 that can give me more info on how they have done.

Thank You,
Lori

PM (private messaging) can only be used once you have posted twenty times. This is to offer some protection against bots spamming personal mailboxes.

Until you can do PM, it is easy to make contact with a moderator -
1. flag any post for attention of the mod, and ask your question
2. Use the 'Contact us' button at the bottom of any page.

Users who do not yet have rights to use private messaging can still access the 'Contact us' link at the bottom of every page on the site.
