Title: squatting
Post by: símiley_despite_all on October 14, 2020, 11:12:31 PM
I assume that you might have some knee issues, otherwise you wouldn't be here.

I am curious to know more about some details about osteoarthritis.

Can any of you squat down?

And if you don't, how long does your knee(s) hurt afterwards, once you stand up?

By the way, does squating worsen the condition of those who have knee issues (and by that, I mean if it makes it tears larger, or make them lose more cartilage at a faster rate)?

Please, may someone reply to this.

I don't want to cause any more damage to my knees.

If you have knee issues squats especially with weights are best avoided. If part of rehab post injury only do under physio supervision
As bad form can make things worse (ditto lunges)
