ACL post-op leg progression

hi folks. 17 weeks post-op ACL reconstruction tomorrow. my concern is. say when im doing exercises (lunges/leg press/etc/running) its my right leg (non-operated one) that i can feel a burn/fatigue in the muscles and not in the left leg (operated). i've tried to get it so putting the same effort/push into both legs, and just feel it more in my left knee (not sore, just an odd feeling) than a burn in the muscles?

anyone else have this issue?

Hi,

I am at 18 weeks post op right know and I know exactly what you mean. It is strange and the only thing I can recommend is biking at a fairly high resistance. That seems to be the only thing that actually gets the quad and hamstring going(burning) in the operated knee.

yeah even when doing the single leg exercises its more so feeling in the knee as opposed a burn in the legs,. i'd say the only burn/fatigue i feel is single leg wall-sits, which after about a minute, I'm beat!
