Title: Help for side-sleepers
Post by: butterfly213 on March 09, 2012, 12:49:33 AM
After my surgeries I tried different pillows to put between my knees so I could sleep on my side without pain. Nothing worked until I found the Contour Memory Foam Knee Pillow. It supports my knees and stays on place. Wish I knew about this 3 surgeries ago!

I was using something very similar to that when I had my leg brace on. I've always slept on my side, and the leg brace had metal adjustable joints on the side of the knee.

I wasn't able to sleep on my side at first, and I had a heck of a time sleeping on my back after I stopped the pain meds. After stopping the pain meds I had to figure a way of sleeping on my side again, and that's when I used the contoured soft foam pillow.

Without the brace I'm now able to sleep on both sides, but I don't put one knee on top of the other. I do have a problem on my right side because of a torn rotator cuff injury from a year ago. I tore both cuffs, but my left one healed up after about three years. I've got my motion back in my right shoulder, but I still have pain. I didn't have any surgeries.
