Title: left knee keeps giving way!
Post by: vicky123 on April 07, 2011, 08:37:51 PM
ive noticed recently that my left knee has keeps giving way when im walking. its happened about 5 times in the past week and straight after i get a dull achey pain in my knee which slowly subsides.
ive got knock knees and had a lateral release in my right knee over a year ago and a lateral release in my left knee with shaving of cartilage just under a year ago..
my left knees always been the better which is why its concerning and annoying me that its starting to give way! its not really bothering me just yet except for the frequency. any ideas on what it is and whether its linked to the lateral release? i havent injured it in any way recently.
thanks, vicky.

Being you have had problems before, it would probably be a good idea to have it checked out. My knee never had pain but would also give out sometimes, until one day I stood up and I have been in pain since. I guess when I stood I crushed the already thinned weakened cartilage in my knee.
