Title: tight/stiff knee
Post by: drzsta on August 17, 2009, 10:50:30 AM
hi all,

just looking for general advice of what to do next;

basically about 3 weeks a ago i was involved in a motorycle crash which threw me off my bike and i landed on my knees,
i rested them for 2+ weeks.

now my left knee has gone very tight - but with no pain as such. i  can straighten it no problem but i cannot bend it because it feels like something is pulling in the top of my knee.

the right knee has a very different situation - considering its been 3 weeks now - i still get this sensation like a pin has been stuck in my knee  - its in the  left of my right knee and only when i bend it on occasion.

ive had so much time off work now and i really want to get back, but as an electrician MOST of my work is on my knees.

any advice would be appreciated.

Go see your GP and get a referral to a orthopaedic consultant.

Your knees really are too important to ignore

hope u feel better soon

I'll second what friendsfan suggested...get your knee seen. I remember thinking how stiff & tight my knee felt for weeks after the injury. An MRI determined it was because of the Bakers cyst, joint effusion & edema along with the main injury. Wishing you well...Ellie

I agree with above posts.
Don't take chances, our knees are a very important part of our body.
Good luck and keep us posted.
