Title: Registering with false email address
Post by: The KNEEguru on August 22, 2003, 02:19:30 PM
Some people are anxious about giving their real email address. If a false one is used to register on this board, then your password will not be able to come to you and you will not be able to participate. It is possible when you register to hide your email address from all users (except the KNEEguru).

In fact, it is sensible to hide your email address on your profile, because these days one needs to take real care with online security.

Once you have your 20 posts and are able to use PM (private messaging) then there is really no need to email each other.

Remember that the 20 posts are easily obtained by playing some of the bulletin board games - the rule that one needs 20 posts before being able to use PM is just to keep out automated spambots from getting into people's PM mail.
