Title: Newbie - Having total knee replacement in February
Post by: Marian on January 20, 2009, 01:50:35 PM
Had a bad car accident 8 years ago.  Have already had 10 surgeries including 5 around knee.

Would like to hear what it will involve and recovery time.

Marian, if you go to the arthritis section of the site, there is a whole area devoted to TKRs. SOmeone there or posts there should be helpful to you. I had a unicompartmental replacements in September and feel a lot better. But before, I asked a ton of questions on the site in the uni. area and got a lot of answers. You should find the same in the TKR area. Here's a link:

Hi Marian,

I had a TKR in May. Feel free to ask me any questions.
