Title: Reoperation for rerupture of patellar tendon
Post by: clarethomas on September 20, 2008, 11:15:58 PM
I'd like any information for to be directed to information for the surgery that is done for rerupture of a patellar tendon.  I ruputured it 14weeks ago playing volleyball.  Rehab had gone great - back to full ROM.  I was working on strengthening my L quadricep muscle by swimming.  (I still swim competatively @ age 51 with the local Masters swimming club).  I slipped in the pool locker room and have re-ruptured the L patellar tendon.  The surgeon is operating next week and wants to use a tendon graft/tendon transpostion for the repair.  Can anyone offer any more info?  Thanks
