Title: Hamstring popping??
Post by: cynthiab4 on August 01, 2007, 12:08:11 AM
Hi just curious if any of you have come across the same problem.  I am about six weeks post op. I had a scope plus my quad tendon was repaired with an autograft.  I am bending my knee about 101 degrees.  My question is since I have gotten it this far I get a pop in my hamstring.  It doesn't hurt just feels weird.  My pt felt it today but didn't seem concerned, she was a temp tho, that is my concern.  I see my os on Thr so I can ask him then, but just wondering if its anything I should worry about thanks for your thoughts!

ive been experiencing what i thought was a popping hamstring for a number of months now - doesnt hurt at all - although it does give a sense of 'relief' when it pops. but to my surprise my physio said she thinks its coming from my calf - not my hamstring. then i did isokinetic tests (you get strapped in machine and a computer measures muscle strength) and it turns out my hamstring is stronger on my bad leg than my good one!!! so i guess the popping wasnt my hamstring after all - it must be my calf (which does feel a little weaker)

so check with your physio - it might not be your hamstring.
