Hey Lor,

That's nice. I hope 2007 is turning out better for you than I. I hope you are feeling well and able to do most of the things you enjoy.

Take care,

Laura x

Would love to talk with you.  Could you contact me at (623) 363-2752.  I'll return your call right away so you don't have to pay for the call.  My sister is in the hospital right now with the exact same problem as you.   We have to make a decision tomorrow about next steps on her knee.  She went into April 16, 2007 for elective knee surgery and now has MRSA.  We have viewed unsafe construction practices in the surgery floor at this hospital that I think are the contributing factor.  My sister is a charge Registered Nurse and works for this hospital at another location.  She was in perfect health before she went int.  I am going to be contacting a medical malpractice lawyer but my primary concern is my sister's health.  I would really appreciate your insight and guidance on this since it looks like were going down the same path as you.

Thank you so much!

Michelle, I, too, had MRSA following a scope, and waited a year and then had a tkr, and then it was downhill, with a partial revision a year later, and then this year on 01-31-07, I had a revsion with stemmed implant. The fight with MRSA, was hard, and went on for a long time, but my most recent cultures did not show it . I had surgery to  clean out the joint evey other day for over a week, and then a few more. Took VANCO IV for 8 weeks, and then 2 oral atbs for another 8 weeks > Every bone scan I have had since has shown osteomyletits. THat is they cannot rule it out. Teresa
