I loooove bar-be-cues! lets see, I think we should go hang out in a park or maybe a medow or... somewhere where its flat and warm, there need to be lots of flowers and grass, sunny, but not annoying sun, just a nice summery day...

I think we need to have a variety of foods, the normal cook out food... hamburgers and all the toppings(lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, pickles, mustard... ect), hotdogs, maybe steak... something for the  vegetarians...someone will need to chime in for that one... Lots of fresh fruit and veggies... Im thinking watermelon, cantelope, grapes, carrots, celery, and maybe some other stuff!

For drinks, I would have to say just like coke, diet coke, sprite, root beer,(or we can go pepsi products if there are non- coke people) and lemonade... maybe virgin strawberry daquaris ;D... but  im sure the over 21 croud would want some other drinks!

Well for entertainment we are going to set our knee problems aside and play frisbee, KICK BALL, and fun stuff like that... maybe someone has friends who are in a band... or someone is in a band themselves, but if we dont have live entertainment everyone should bring their favorite CD. I think Ill bring John Mayer live!

Guests, well it could get a little out of hand but I think all 1800+ members and their families! Were gonna need  a BIGGGGGG area for this party!

Decorations, Ya know Ill let someone else get that started...

Come on in guys, the partys about to start!

Wow, what a great idea Sylvia!! I've got some sausages and chicken wings in my virtual freezer if you'd like them!  ;)

It seems like our hostess with the mostest Emily has things well and truly under control - I guess we should ask one of the Aussie BBQ experts to man the burgers though! That's a good point about needing a big area to cater for all the members too, perhaps we should see if we can hire out a small country for the weekned?!  :P

Let the good times roll and enjoy the fun!  ;D

Love and party hugs....Jo

let's decorate with a luau theme--

leis for everyone, lots  offlowers, fragrant beautiful flowers... and patio lights cause this will go on till the wee hours.

probably ought to roast a hog too--anybody know how to do that???

as for guests--i want a few big shots--or at least some folks to make us laugh...how about inviting robin williams, david letterman, bill cosby to start with...?

i'm not sure i'll play much kickball or frisbee or stuff--but i might volunteer to greet, meet and serve people--as long as i can stand anyway.

wouldn't minda pool orlake being around as well--or--ooh a spa or two.  great for knee geeks...

this coul be the beginning  of  really fun weekend--the part could go on that long!   sylvia

If were going a Luau theme, we cant forget the Pink Flamingos! I would like to see Jay Leno attend our  weekend extravaganza!

Hope some guests start to arrive soon!

Definitely count me in-this sounds like a great weekend!!! Pink Flamingos would be really fun! If it's a luau theme, we also have to import some palm trees in to complete the tropical look. Also maybe some of those big torches to add to the look and to keep bugs away. Sylvia, I think we should definitely have a pool and at least 3 or 4 huge hot tubs with enough room for everyone.

Let's party everyone :)

LOL, Yes I can spit roast a pig or can do a side/ butt of beef or lamb. (I t is called spit roasting here (I even have access to a spit roasting machine that runs of gas and has room to roast the spuds (potatoes) as well.
I think a nice river and a lake as well as some strategically placed hot tubs and spas.
Add to this a BEAUTIFUL assortment of YUMMY desserts, great people and all of our puppies as well (Boo is looking forward to meeting and playing with everyone elses furry children).
Hmmm I think we need some nibbles also and some FUN food for those with kiddies (you know little hot dogs, chicken nuggets, nachos and other fun kiddie foods).
Hmm I am LOOKING forward to this.

Uh ohhhh....

Looks like I'd better bring the beer!  What's a barbecue without it?  :)

One more suggestion... after dark, let's light a bonfire and roast marshmallows.  S'mores, anyone?

See you there!

Cheers,
Barb :)

after the weather here this  weekend i think we need a weather guarantee for this--and every virtual shindig we have.

let's see, ideal  weather--clear, gentle  breeze, mid to high 70's, low humidity, no rain, snow, tornadoes, typhoons, hurricanes, hail, blizzards, falling meatballs, or ice storms.

as for the campfire and s'more's i'm all for it.

could we also include a specialty place for the kids--maybe a nearby amusement/ water park with professional child care supervisors--lots of video games and stuff?   i could use a break for a bit and i'm pretty sure they wouldn't mind some respite from me as well.

on with some fun...sylvia

Wow sounds like a smashing good time :D.  Guess I need to dig up some Hawaiian looking clothes, grass skirt and whatnot!  I'll contribute to the grilling and protecting everyone from ants!!!!  I gotta head to the amusement park, hehe throw in a coaster or two and I'm there!  I'll bring some live entertainment with me, my neighbors are up and coming rock stars (Seriously, they are heading for a tour in Japan!!!  you'll be hearing from em soon!!!)  and if there's anything else I can contribute I'll post again!!
