Title: Hamstring ACL reconstruct
Post by: j2murra on July 31, 2006, 08:00:48 PM
Hi I have recently had a acl reconstruction using the hamstring graft.  While trying to do a standing leg curl it felt like my hamstring poped.  I can still walk but the area where it popped still hurts some.  What do you think I did.

If you're really concerned, I'd recommend talking to your surgeon, or going in to see him. At the very least, you can call his office and ask. There's no way anyone here can give you a diagnosis over the internet.

It's fairly common to have adhesions and scar tissue "pop off" when you increase your activity. The scar tissue is adhered to other tissue or bones and can break apart when a new movement happens. That hurts in the moment and can be a bit sore later, but tends not to be painful and might stay slightly sore about a day, at most.

If you're worried, please contact your doctor.

Good luck with this, and I hope you're feeling better soon!

YOu may have also just pulled your hamstring muscle a bit..... I didnt do it, but if you take a look in the crucuiates section below you will see there are several people that have had the same experience...... if you are worried, see your OS and/or PT
