Title: I need some advice
Post by: gemmat84 on May 22, 2006, 12:58:54 PM
Hey, wonder if anyone can help me.
I've suffered repeated dislocations in both knees for around 8 years now, I had an LR done on the right knee 2 months ago which hasn't worked and am due to have medial reefing and a TTT done sometime in the next three months. I have 2 questions really, the first one is this: I've noticed in the past week or so that my knee is cracking and popping a lot, especially when I am coming down the stairs and am putting weight on it, any ideas on what this could be and should I be worried? My second question is a bit weirder, when I was born my right foot was turned outwards slightly and my parents used to have to manipulate it when I was a baby to straighten it out, as I've grown up it has turned outwards again, before my surgery my foot was pointing out at almost a right angle. It briefly straightened after the surgery but has gone back to the way it was before. I spoke to my physio about who tried to get me to walk with my foot straight, the problem being that when I do this and bend my knee it comes inwards and knocks my other knee out. My physio told me to just carry on as normal and not try to put my foot straight, saying that it would get better with time and prolonged physio. Has anyone else ever had this problem? If so how did you fix it?
Thanks a lot
