Title: Slight Pain and Weakness

When I stand up from a sitting position, I notice a slight twinge and a little bit of weakness that seems to be localized on the top of my patella or in the area of the quadracep tendon just above the patella.  I am thinking I have just overworked that tendon or other tendon in that area as I otherwise have full range of motion and no other discomfort.  I have only noticed this in the last few days and have had no other prior knee problems or injuries.  I have been icing the knee and basically taking it easy (ie., not working the joint during my normal gym workouts).  Is ice and rest the best course of action at this time, or should I work in heat as well?

Most people like and feel that icing and rest is the best..personally I can't take the makes everthing I go for the heat and'll soon figure out which one is the best for you....either way rest is usually the best ...and maybe some anti inflamitories.....
