Title: Ummm. Personal question...
Post by: SallyW on June 29, 2005, 05:13:38 PM
Anyone been told how long you should wait after OATS before resuming, um, physical intimacy? I'm not talking about anything wild, you know - just normal "activity".

My OS hasn't ever mentioned anything about it, and I don't have the guts to ask him...he's not my gyn, after all...so I'm shy about things like that...but I'm assuming that it wouldn't be allowed during the critical NWB time, just because that is when the graft/s could most likely be disturbed.

Anyone been told anything about this?

Well, as long as you're not WB during the activity, it shouldn't matter.  Whenever you're physically comfortable enough, it should be fine.  Don't be embarrassed to ask your OS either.  It's a perfectly normal question and they've probably been asked before.

My OS said as soon as I was ready. If you are NWB dont put any pressure on your knee by stepping down.

There are other ways!!! Ummm if you know what I mean
