Title: Should I call the Doctor?
Post by: sjugradgirl on November 01, 2004, 05:52:45 AM
I had Arthroscopy and Chondroplasty on Friday. I wasn't feeling too bad. Maybe becasue the Cyrocuff had my leg frozen. Anyways, I crutched over to the office in my apartment. I sat down with my leg extended, i just moved my leg briefly and it felt ike my knee cap was about to pop out and now my leg is hurting a lot. Is it just after effects of the surgery. SHould I call the doctor, or just wait to tell him when I go for my post op visit?

Hi-
I had a patellar chondroplasty about 2 1/2 weeks ago- my 14th knee surgery.  I don't think it would hurt to call your orthopedic surgeon's office in the morning and explain your symptoms.  If you are feeling sharp pain or that your kneecap can easily dislocate, you may want to see your doctor.  I would probably call his office. To put it easily always call the doctor if your unsure about anything especially with prior surgery....theres nothing to lose by giving them a call and telling them about your situation....hope you feel better...good luck  :)
