I qualified from Bristol University with a medical degree and after house jobs, I gained an MPhil in Human Skeletal Biology from Cambridge University. After completing my basic surgical and trauma & orthopaedic training in Wales, I undertook a one year fellowship in lower limb and sports surgery in Adelaide, South Australia.

I have broad experience in most aspects of trauma and have expertise in lower limb surgery including total hip replacement and all aspects of knee surgery, and surgery of the foot and ankle, but I now only perform knee surgery,  including arthroscopy, primary and revision knee ligament reconstruction, standard and patient-specific partial and full knee replacement. I also perform Osteotomy around the knee.

My research interests include anterior ligament reconstruction and aspects of total knee replacement. I am a consultant in trauma and orthopaedic surgery at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital, Llantrisant, with a subspeciality interest in lower limb surgery especially of the knee. I am the lead clinician of the orthopaedic department for the Cwm Taff Trust. In addition to this I also hold the role of Honorary Clinical Tutor at Cardiff School of Medicine for my involvement in under graduate education.
