• South East Thames Orthopaedic Rotation 2005-2011.
• In 2010 Mr Dawson-Bowling spent a period of time training with the internationally renowned hip and knee specialist Paul Pellicci at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. This was followed in 2011-12 by fellowship training in hip and knee surgery at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore, and Buckinghamshire Hospitals.
• From 2012-13 he was employed as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at St. George’s Hospital, London and the South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre. In 2013 he was appointed to his present substantive consultant employment with Barts Health NHS Trust, the large London teaching hospital trust where he undertakes his NHS practice.

Medical law:

In 2008 Mr Dawson-Bowling graduated from Cardiff University Law School having undertaken a part-time Masters degree in medical law (LLM), completing a thesis on Medical Negligence and Informed Consent to treatment. Subsequent to this he has published both a book chapter and journal articles in this area, and offers medicolegal services in both London and Brighton.
