Limb reconstruction is the surgical reshaping of a limb that is distorted by injury, birth defect or disease.

What procedures are used in limb reconstruction?

Limb reconstruction employs techniques such as osteotomy and distraction callotasis (stretching out the bone). Since the term is broad, it may also involve soft tissue reconstructions.
