The lateral femoral cutaneous nerve is a nerve that supplies sensation to the side and back of the thigh.

 

Meralgia Paresthetica

The lateral femoral cutaneous nerve may sometimes give rise to increased sensitivity on the outer side of the front of the thigh, which is called meralgia paresthetica.
